Tainan City Government, Bureau of Public Works: The System of Road Excavation Management: Tainan City - Hsinchu City Experience Sharing
Project Background
In Tainan there are more than 10,000 road excavations per year, causing congestion on the road and traffic accidents.
Project
In order to manage road excavations more efficiently, Tainan developed the Tainan City Self-Government Ordinance for Road Excavation Management. This platform promotes better information sharing when it comes to road excavation.
Collaboration
Inspired by Tainan City's efforts, Hsinchu integrated the application in Hsinchu City and added several improvements, leading to a sharp increase of residents' satisfaction regarding road management.
Project Results
Through the project, road management became more efficient, while also resulting in higher satisfaction of the citizens.
